    Another shooter after Trump

Apparently at the correspondence meeting last night . . . some deranged teacher from Kalifornistan . . . left his room in the hotel where the meeting was.

    He took a shotgun . . . handgun . . . and knives . . . tried to break thru the security line . . . shot a cop . . . (vest saved him) . . . got taken down.

Trump was whisked away to safety in the white house . . .

Guess there are more crazies yet.

    May God bless,
    Dwight

That video of him blitzing through the checkpoint doesn't do much for the image of the secret service. Obviously there were other checkpoints/resources closer to the event and he was taken down before getting to his objective, but man that first 5-6 guys look bad.

Yep. PLENTY of Crazies still exist. Unfortunately for the good guys, Crazies multiply faster than non-Crazies.

There is no shortage of crazies. I haven't heard what this guy's political persuasion is but I can guess. The political left and the MSM have shouted for so long and so loud that Trump is an evil dictator and must go by any means that they have the crazies riled up to a fever pitch. They are betting one of them, sooner or later, will get lucky. If the demonrats win the mid terms you can look for the rhetoric to go through the roof and you damn sure can bet bet your last dollar their first order of business will be impeachment

Almost forgot: This attempt now makes Trump the record holder for attempted assassinations for an American President with 3.

They showed the POS face down, cuffed, and shirtless. Supposedly he had a shotgun, pistol, and a knife. And he was a guest of that hotel. So how TF did he get from his room with the weapons, then get close enough to loose the shirt, and bum rush the scene? The security cam footage of him running past the SS was grainy, probably the same security cams when Reagan was shot there in 81.

I don't believe for a minute it was staged like all the armchair QB podcasters are claiming, but it seems like he should have red flagged long before he got that close.

With outer perimeter security running in condition white like the video implies I can see him getting that close. I'm guessing he lost the shirt in the takedown scuffle.

It wasn't a very clear video of the guy on the ground, but judging by the hair, he looked like a "Half-Rican". Whatever else he was, he was suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome. And this is a guy teaching our kids? God help us.

I read a report by a fox reporter who was there. He was shocked at the lax security. He waved a ticket that they didn’t really inspect and never asked for ID. There was a total lack of proper security inside and out. And he got within 60’ of the ballroom…. With a shotgun.

the other question is…. How is he still alive? In video it looks like the SS are shooting at him.

Looks like the SS needs a marksmanship refresher course. They can't hit a damned thing. What good are they?

So we went to our favorite restaurant today and there were two employees of Toasted Yolk, a breakfast place we go to on occasion, watching the jimmy Kimmel video and laughing that the shooter didn’t succeed. I did write their corporate office. I wish I had pics of the two asshats.

bottom line, we are in a place in America where we cannot coexist with the left in any manner.

I thought about that too. If you listen to the video from the event hall you hear I think five shots. I'm guessing those were all fired by the attacker and the secret service drew weapons, but didn't fire because of all the other people that would have been present. I think they just tackled him.

As I have watched the news coverage of this whole mess today a couple thoughts have been reoccurring over and over...

Some "news" commenters have been complaining about the Secret Service not catching the guy quicker. I'm not sure what the Secret Service could have done better in this situation. They caught the guy. Nobody was seriously injured. The president and guests were never in immediate danger since the guy was stopped well before he got into the ballroom. Plus, they took the guy alive so now we might learn more about anybody that may have helped him or encouraged him. To me, the whole thing seems like it was done textbook perfect.

The second complaint I have heard repeated ad nauseam today was about how the bad guy sent his "manifesto" to his brother and the brother sent it to the FBI before the event. Why didn't the FBI "do something"? Again, I really do not see a problem here. We all complain (rightfully so in my arrogant opinion) about an encroaching police state. Writing a manifesto is not illegal no matter how vile it is. It is not a reason for the FBI to act other than to maybe notify the Secret Service about a potential problem. But I am pretty sure if any of us were collected and questioned by the FBI for the incendiary things we all have written here, we would all be rightfully pissed. So again, I do not see a problem with how this part was handled.

Bad people do bad things. When good people stop them, bad outcomes are minimized or even eliminated as in this case. Sometimes bad people succeed in doing bad things and unfortunately that is the price we pay for freedom. (It is also why good people should be armed at all times.)

In this incident, we should all just thank God that good people prevailed.

Yup- If the FBI (or any law enforcement agency) immediately acted on every warning they got about someone, they'd soon run out of resources. All these things are routed, looked at, and evaluated. First, that takes time, and second, there are a lot of people out there who write angry letters etc that are not threats, just cranks

The comment I kept seeing was that the SS grabbed the VP first . . . then DT . . . like there is a specific order that must always be followed.

I'm for getting them all out of harm's way . . . how and when it is the quickest.

But the one big takeaway from this . . . DT now has shotgun ready proof that the new ballroom is a necessity . . . not just a desire.

Probably pissed ol Shumer off big time . . . hee hee

                      May God bless,

Boy did that one turn out weird with who shot what. Those shots heard on the video were the security agent blazing away with his own people in the line of fire. It didn't show on the video I have seen, but they were claiming the guy did fire the shotgun at least once and it was birdshot that hit the one agent in the vest.

The more video they release the further I get from a warm and fuzzy feeling about the guys they had at the perimeter.
