It's not a picture . . . just a comment. I did the "ancestry" thing to get my DNA . . . and I got some real surprises out of it . . . I am not the English, Irish, German and Dutch my mother used to tell us.
I'm 39% Scottish . . . English, Irish, and Welsh thrown in the mix . . . and the known piece of French from which I got my biological surname Salyer.
But hanging on the sidelines was the Scandinavian and Eastern Mediteranian . . .
I was always as a kid fascinated by the Vikings . . . complaining that I was born to late to be there back then . . .
And the Scottish plaids / bagpipe / and total uniform thing also was a longing in my bones so to speak.
I'm just about a believer in somehow we innately know things . . . my Scottish heritage and the Viking thing both were convincing arguments that bloodlines surface to a certain degree in our conciousness without any prodding . . . it's there . . . listen to it.
That Eastern Med thing though . . . ain't got that one figured out yet . . . (sigh)
