I’m please to report success all the way around. Bought one dedicated to .22 (although it will also do 5.56) and one that will do 9mm up to 36 caliber for my 308’s.

And I did splurge on a pcc. Bought the new sub2000 from keltec. It come with an integrated suppressor, red dot and light. Folds up nicely to fit in a backpack.

So for the keltek I had to do an atf4 because of the suppressor. Inwas shocked that it took 4 business days to be approved. My individual suppressors are on back order ugh

Range day. I should have bought suppressors earlier. The mark 4 with subsonic .22 was amazingly quiet. Even the 10/22 was more quiet than I expected. The winner was the keltec with subsonic 9mm. I took my grandkids with me and they all like the keltec the best. With that said, one granddaughter, my favorite, like the marlin 3030. No suppressor in that was. So with that’s said, I ordered one dedicated to the 9mm.

Now that the NFA Form has gone away I bought a Dead Air Wolfman from the Silencer Shop. During checkout, it hiccup for a second, then said "No NFA items in cart" and went to checkout. A week later I got their AI assistant "Hiram" (good name choice) who said I was missing info (photo, prints, ATF Form) I wrote back that they were no longer required. I got a word salad response so I took a screenshot of their page where it said no longer required. More word salad. I called, and you get Hiram answering the phone. After spending 20 minutes trying to get past the Tower guard- from the Holy Grail on the other end of the phone, I sent another email, and now the AI is going to send my email chain to a human for review. Aggravating isn't the word.

I posted before, if you still gotta fill out a 4473 you ain't gained any freedom back. Screw this bs they only retain records for a llimited time , whether its flock or anything else you divulge to the gov, its there FOREVER!! They LIE, We don't keep the info, ever hear of the wayback machine? I'm not paranoid, just a realist. Once it hits the net, its out there somewhere/forever. This, I shit you not. Why else do they need all these data centers? Can private citizens have access to that data? Inquriring minds want to know. Rant over. Just got fed up! Just, tired of this smoke screen stuff.

Just felt the need to vent.

Well aware, and they are digitizing everything they get their hands on, and claim it isn't searchable

I have said for almost 20 years that they are collecting data on everybody, just to archive since they are always finding new uses for it.

                          Common use!

In a free country, we should be able to walk into a store or order online a suppressor, walk out with it or receive it in the mail. No forms no questions no nothing but an exchange of goods or services...

I think there was a time not long ago when guns were NOT considered a problem, you could order one from the Sears Roebuck catalog and just walk in and pick it up.
