    Da Coach... RIP

I was still a young teenager when the Chicago Bears had their 15-1 season and won Superbowl XX. Back when the NFL was still decent, and entertained us as sports are supposed too, with no BS.

    Mike Ditka, Rest In Peace.

NFL legend Mike Ditka is dead at 86 years old. Jarret Payton, the son of legendary Chicago Bears running back Walter Payton, announced the news to X on Friday. He released a statement from the Ditka family.

Ditka was hard nosed and one of the best and a class act. None of those in the NFL these days. R.I.P. Mike.

Iron Mike was the best of the best! Plus, he genuinely seemed like a damn good guy. He was a great player, greater coach and a Republican that loved America. Plus, his restaurant in the Loop in Chi-town is awesome. He is sorely missed.

We ate there some years back when I was in Chicago on business. It was very good. Harry Cary's was good as well. Good steak, and what was really cool, the building used to be Frank Nitti's house. (Al Capone's enforcer) That's one of the few things I miss since retiring is when we had do the factory meetings or conventions, we always ate very well, and always on the factory's dime.
