    Hurricane Isaias

Just read it’s a cat 3 now. Looks like a direct hit on pencola.

I heard it was tied for latest named hurricane to form in a season.

I see that it's predicted to hit Dothan, close to where our bud Denton lives, hope it goes well for him.

                DAMNIT! Fooled Again!

Did a test run on the "bigger" generator yesterday afternoon; cleaned it up, charged the battery, brought up a couple of extra propane tanks from the barn, "hooked" up to the house, blah blah blah...AND NOTHING BUT A BIT OF RAIN AND SOME WIND!

I do have one large dead pine tree that I've been putting off doing anything about, hoping it will fall on its own. Will check on it later today when It stops raining.

All good in central Alabama and thanks for checking on me Piratesailor !

I thought about you a couple days ago. Haven't seen you around. Been busy with the new place?

Texas PO, been pretty busy with tons of stuff. Trying to get Slippy Lodge shored up and a few projects done. Working a bit too much and Mrs Slippy has taken lead with our TN land but it still requires some attention from both of us. Also spending some time with grandkids...

Texas had two tropical storms this year, both were weak, one knocked power out for about 24 hours, but that was enough for me this year. Technically hurricane season ends at the end of November but November hurricanes are rare.

My cousin was just up 2 weeks ago from Round Rock, a burb of Austin. He loves Texas, but hates how the commies took over Austin.

I got a text from Denton a couple hours ago. His neighbor got clobbered pretty good, but Denton said he was good. The photos of his neighbor's place didn't look good at all. A huge pine tree smashed the house. The neighbor's truck also looked like it was a complete wipeout. But last word was that everybody was alive and healthy.
