Personnel data would be of little use to the AI machine. Currently personal data is useful only to the people running the machines, it is an income stream.
In order to "grow" and learn AI needs knowledge data.

When an AI Agent, say from Google, is invited into your device to interact - while it's in there, does it have access to everything that's on your device? Is it programmed to look around and see what it can see...and oh, I dunno, send everything it finds to the mothership?

      Thanks.
It could have access to everything, whatever it is told to access. It also can follow instructions such as, search for x, if x is found search for y, if y is found search for z. Such instructions speeds the search. Much more efficient than just sending everything or searching everything. It can create a data file on your device for later use or send it home.
Encrypted files would have to be unencrypted before they could be searched. Some encryptions could take a considerable length of time to decrypt even for a powerful machine.

So then an AI tasked to "Compile all data on MountainGirl" could be accomplished, but a task to answer the question "Is MountainGirl a good person" would require AI to peruse the internet to find patterns of my behavior and determine if they lined up with other instances deemed "good".
        Yes/no?

Correct, unless the AI had already learned the meaning of good as it pertains to human behavior. It could also go the direction of determining if you are tasty, as in good to eat or if the electrolyte level in your body would make you electrical conductor.

Without explicit definition, it becomes vague query in, bad data out? Makes sense...

Understood. Is it safe to guess that AI agents can be pre-programmed to search for specific things?

            For example -

When T-Man 1066 asks AI about how to fix a part on one of his machines, while answering the Agent also discovers the words 'terrorist' or 'kill Trump' on his device and things could go from there... (not guessing what, just exploring potential )

So that being said, when we use the internet, our desktop / laptop / tablet / phone is basically an access terminal to other computer systems on the web. So does the AI have the ability to see what I have stored on MY computer, or does it only have ability to see what / where I have been on the Web?

If I have a saved item on my desktop, which I believe my desktop files are NOT on One Drive or the cloud, does AI have access to that?
              Politicians can kiss my ass!!!

Do you remember when websites used Cookies - and how it used to ask if you'd accept them in your system or not?

              AI doesn't ask.

Once you've opened the door, AI doesn't need to ask.

Just what is the reasoning behind them having to know when I take a dump, how big it is, and what color it is?

AI models have reached the point that they are only limited by the ability of the person/persons teaching them. Given the correct knowledge and instructions they can do most anything that can be accomplished electronically. They can be given the ability to control any electronically controlled machine. Hack into and control a drone, not much of a problem. Same thing goes for anything electronically controlled.
I've said it before but no one listens, "Get ALL critical systems off the Internet", put them all on very secure point to point networks. No more of this "connect from home" shit to check on the nuclear power plant, or the water plant, or even the subway!
Even if AI doesn't take control of the world it will be a very big problem in the very near future.

You can hack into a car through the tire pressure sensors. I'd love to be able to hack in and say, "Get off my ass Mr. Dodge truck" over their audio system.

I'm going to review all my systems in the morning.
It's time to take care of this; purge some devices.

Add: Definitely a vid worth watching; sad it ended with the Albert Pike hoax... Which (for me) diminishes credibility to the rest of the material, most of which actually seems to be rather plausible.

Some days I strive (and dream) to totally eliminate data and inter web technology from my life.

                  Most days, I fail.
