    It's just 90 deg / 70% humidity

Occasionally we get asked how we do things in the mid west . . . high temps / high humidity and all

We just do it is the best answer

This is how we mow when it is only 90 degrees with 70% humidity

    Long britches . . . long sleeves . . . hat . . . ear / eye protection . . . gloves . . . Kubota diesel

    May God bless,
    Dwight

It will be 91 here with 75% humidity so it's not to terribly bad yet. But, we do have a slug of tropical moisture moving in from the gulf so I expect the humidity to go up. Starting in July is when the eat and humidity really start go up. That reminds me, It is June and it's hurricane season, need to fire up the gen sets and make sure everything is ready to go.

I pretty much do it like you do Dwight, only I go with shorts, t-shirt, and a cold beer at the ready.

Basically 4 years in the "almost tropics" fixed me from shorts and short sleeve shirts . . . for the most part. Had two butcher jobs done on the face cancer . . . I can do without any more.

But enjoy it if you can . . .

        May God bless,

There was an old fella a few years back . . . bought a new truck every 6 to 8 years . . . absolutely never washed it.

Came time to trade it in . . . all the mud and grease came right off . . . beautiful original paint underneath . . . always got good trade in.

Not sure I'll trade this one in . . . but ya gotta be prepared just in case. Besides that . . . my yard can be described as a muddy desert . . . depending how lately it did or did not rain.

We get 95 today. But it's a dry heat.

It has been absolutely brutal here all week - highs in the upper 90's (but low humidity) and really bright sun. Of course, this had to be the week I was helping a neighbor do aluminum siding. It was not too bad in the mornings, but by about 1:00, I was dying! But then, June is always our hottest month, starting around the Forth, we will start getting monsoons and that cools it down to the 60's in about 10 minutes. WOO HOO!!!
