Good morning friends! Happy Friday. I feel truly blessed to have another day on God's beautiful earth. Everything is not perfect in my life but I give my troubles to God and ask for his help. I hope you all have a safe and productive weekend.

Morning Sas, for the record your post is at noon here. You west coast folks run about 2 hours behind for some reason...
Yea, I am at war with my new 7 year old plasma cutter. Trying to decide if it's me, or does it need some additional hardware, 12 ga, 300 win mag, 44 mag? Decisions, decisions, decisions...
Maybe Ill just pour some beer on it, see if that helps. It usually works for me.

Good morning. Mid 70's and rain for this afternoon here on the Cheddar Curtain.
I learned two things about the plasma cutter yesterday. It is a high frequency start, but the air gap at the beginning of the cut needs to be about .010" or so. I had a piece of 11ga on my steel sawhorses. Looked underneath, cool, saw horse is about 3" in from where I want to cut. Started cutting, after about a foot the cut went to hell, blow back, splatter, crap. Realized saw horse was at an angle to my cut, and it tried to cut about 3/8" of an inch into the 1" plate underneath.
So both issues were operator error, plasma cutter does not have any bullet holes in it... yet.

Good morning my fellow miscreants. Well, this AM I am up early. Turns out that Thunderstorm way out in the middle of the gulf of America that no one was worried about turned into a tropical storm and it is now heading straight for yours truly. Nothing major though, just barely a Tropical storm at 40 MPH winds. The storm track has it pushing just to our west by maybe 20 miles which puts us on the dirty side of the storm. We are going to get rain, maybe 6 to 10 inches. Won't be much wind but that much rain can weaken the ground around trees so we may or may not lose power. Gens are ready and everything is charged. Landfall is predicted to be around 1 today. Ya gotta love Texas.
