Good morning OTP! Another great day to go out and make something of it. I seem to have contracted the summer cold the rest of the Sas household has gotten. Thanks guys! Guess that's my Father's Day gift. Oh well, it's pretty mild.
Time to go see what kind of trouble I can get into. Have a great day everyone!

Good morning and Happy Father's Day to us. Power went out this morning about 5:15. No good reason. Not storming, and in our neighborhood the power is underground.

So I went online and checked the Coop's website. Outage map showed 1200+ without power. Im guessing sub-station issues.

Not a big deal, but if it don't come on pretty quick I am going to have to start boiling water for coffee.

I think it's rained every day for the past month. And...the humidity at Slippy Lodge (East/Central Alabama) is off the charts this morning.

Freakin' mushrooms are growing in my yard!

EDIT To Add; The soil in my yard must be good! Had no idea why mushrooms are growing in my yard...

So I went and put a pan of water on the side burner on the grill, then poured it into the basket of the coffeemaker, so cool. I'm gonna get coffee. Didn't finish pouring it and the power came back on. Would have just waited 20 minutes if I knew that was going to be the case...

We got rain and mushrooms here as well Slippy. It's hot and humid (you can drink the air) Pouring down rain right now. We also had our first named storm of the year, although it didn't amount to much.

I woke up this Father's Day morning to 8 boys (19-20 years old) crashed out in my living room. Lucky me! They decided they needed to come play a cut-throat game of Monopoly here last night, eat pizza and have a few girlie drinks. No, seriously, Smirnoff Ice!? These boys got some learnin' to do. Whilst they did that I sat out front and had me a cigar and sipped on a Woodford Reserve.
Headed to my parents in a little bit to see my Dad. My stepsister has come down from Nor. Cal so it'll be good to see her too.
Hope you guys all have a GREAT Father's Day!

Good morning ya lily livered scallywags! Hope you all had a good Father's Day. Just to let you know there will be no show this week for those of you that listen. I'll be camping with the family. It'll be more "glamping" at an RV park than anything since I'm still a little shaky walking. But, at least, I'll get to be outside and do some fishing at the lake.

Hope you all make your Monday a magnificent one.

Well, i just got back in. On a brandy new computator. Daughter had copied everything on the old one weeks ago for this changeover.

I am trying to adjust to the win 11 format, getting there.

I changed the old one over to win 11, but forgot to add the anti virus program back, never thought of it.

Well, it was junk in the blink of an eye. It was going to be replaced anyhow, just a week sooner.

Been busy putting in a rotor, caliper, pads and break lines in one jeep.

When it use to take me 3-4 hours to do that job, now took 4 days to acheive the 4 hour job.

My first realization that the internet was getting to smart for it's own good, I was doing an online insurance enrollment in about 2017 or 2018 when I worked for the man. For validation, its asked me questions, like " Have you ever lived at any of these addresses?" And it would list 4 random addresses. I did live at one of them about 15 years prior. Next question was asking about past vehicles I have owned. There was my 1996 F-250 in the list. WTF!!!

The movie with Gene Hackman, "Enemy of the state" was creepy with it's accuracy. Ugg.
