We cleaned 4 early Toms about a week and a half ago. A friend was telling us how great young Toms are. I have to say, so far I'm not impressed. They are very dry.
We did just skin them instead of plucking them so that might be part of the problem. But still, I think they just do not have enough fat on them yet. Fortunately, we still have a bunch more to do in November. Hopefully those will be better.

Those were RubberDucks bucks he did not protect the horns he buried them. I wrapped mine in plastic wrap and tin foil. So his picked up the tannins from the dirt and leaves.

We pluck the wild Turkey. And then put them in a oven bag too cook. Butter rubbed under the skin to keep them moist.Inor #53.1
