    In the ground European mount

Last years bucks me and RubberDuck kept our heads in a frezzer until April then buried them in the ground. Left them till now the end of August and the bugs did all the work. The bonus is we got some nice color on the skulls instead of traditional bleached white.

    Nice!
I'm impressed that y'all have freezers big enough and empty enough to hold those racks.

Gosh, I wish I would have known about this trick, boiled two buffalo heads I slaughtered in a turkey fryer, thought they were clean. My bud wanted one so he stuck it in the trunk of his car, forgot about it for awhile, PEW!!! Evidently boiling works for shit!!! He reminds me of it almost everytime I talk to him. Seems he had issues when he had a gal in the car.

I think the boiling might have been bad for the structual intengrity of the skull, the head split all to heck, the horns fell off, I glued them back on, they fell off again. Think I'll just saw the horns off short on the skull and say screw the forerhead/lower jaw and such. Its pretty much just splinted all to pieces. It was part of my life back in the day, so I want to hang onto something.
