    Got a new gun

    After some beating my head against a wall . . . do I . . . or do I not . . . I found a deal on a Springfield SA 35 . . . which is their version of the Browning Hi Power

If I said I was happy with it . . . that would just be the first sentence.

My LGS wanted 759 plus tax . . . and I just didn't have that much laying around.

Found on on Gunbroker for 590 plus shipping . . . said he put 35 rounds thru it . . . all in the same ragged hole. Didn't say why he was selling it . . . just that he was.

    Simmered on the decision for a bit . . . then bit the bullet . . . altogether . . . got about 7 bills in it . . .

Spring advertising said they come with one mag . . . got 2 spares in the box . . . ain't complaining.

Anyway . . . put about 60 rounds thru it so far . . .115 RN target stuff. Gonna get happy with that then go up to the 147 stuff . . . should be better for stopping unwanted thingys.

Appearance is AOK . . . and while some have disparaged the trigger a bit . . . mine is not bad so far. Much better than the Taurus G3C that I traded off.

Anyway . . . just passing out the good news.

    May God bless,

    Dwight

A new gun always makes me feel warm and happy inside.

Hmm, I wonder where Pastor D can get a good holster for his SA 35? Hmm?

Bought one of those new- Classic Arms was having a 2 day sale, I think $539. I like it. Shoots well, and once I get it broken in it should be on par with my Israeli surplus HP. I have a Belgian HP that's really sweet- took the mag disconnect out and it smooths the trigger out nicely. Enjoy it!

Maybe he can get the same guy that made one for my 357 Python.
