2A and the Bible

God had Moses hang out in the hills for 40 years because Israel was inhabited by Canaanites at the time and the Canaanites had chariots while the Jooooooos were just a bunch of farmers. So God made 'em hang out in the hills for a whole generation until they could raise a generation of kids capable of beating the Canaanites on the battlefield. Only then did the Jooooos go down and kick some Canaanite ass and establish Israel. (Palestine was then and still is a myth that never actually existed. But that's a story for another day...)

My point is, when God points you at somebody and tells you to smite them, He expects you to have the tools to do the job! That's why He gave us the 2nd Amendment , so when we meet some asshole that needs a good smiting, we're ready to do God's work.
