CZ P-10C ported finally ready

Should finally get to the range to start sighting in the optic later this week. Took forever to get the pistol and then one of the screws on the optic blanking plate snapped off so it had to go the gunsmith for a bit. Got it back the other day and it's ready for action.

Smoother out of the box than my CZ P-10F was. The optic is nice and low, full co-witness with the iron sights, auto brightness green, can select between dot, circle, and dot in circle target.

First shots report from a quick lunch time visit to the range: I think we have a winner. Between the port and the green optic with a circle reticle ( it has three options - dot, circle, or both ) it is amazingly quick to get on target and put follow up shots right with the first one. The trigger is nice, crisp, and the same as my P-10F although it doesn't compare to a good hammer fired pistol.

Looking forward to giving it a thorough workout soon and maybe tweaking the optic sighting a tiny bit as I start moving out to some distance.

I did also drag my Tokarev out with me today and put two mags through it. It's just a lot of fun to shoot. Poor guy hasn't been out of lockup in far too long.

Excellent White Shadow! I'm guessing the recoil was straight back vs muzzle flip? I don't own a CZ Handgun, but all accounts have CZ being a damn fine quality manufacturer. (I do own a CZ 457 rifle and its awesome!)

There is still a little muzzle rise, but it is certainly reduced. I was honestly not doing a lot of scientific study with those first mags - was having too much fun and too focused on the optic. I'm pretty new to having powered optics and have never had one on a pistol before. Was supposed to go back to the range today for a more extended stay with the wife and daughter, but neither was feeling top shelf so stuck around the house. We will see what the weather is like tomorrow. Prediction is a bit sketchy.

Curious, where did you position the "DOT" when first sighting it in?

I have raised front sights on my "red dot" pistols so I set the "DOT" right on the top of the front sight.

I ain't sayin' I can shoot a gnats ass at 100 yards but I'm pretty confident at 20 or so yards, on an 8" metal target. My primary carry pistol (Stealth Arms)has a Delta Point Pro with a dot 6MOA. I just sent 50 rounds downrange an hour ago, at 15/20 yards on 8", 12" and 18" targets. Wiped the firearm down, oiled it up and good to go for tomorrow carry if need be.

Since it was purpose built for this firearm it was supposed to be factory set. Visually it appeared quite a bit above the front sight. I have had it back out once more, but between my wife and daughter I only got to run about twenty more rounds through it broken up over the space of about an hour. Need to go by myself again.

The CZ P-10C optics ready ( no port ) has been selected as the new standard sidearm for the German military. Models made for them will be designated P-13 instead of P-10C, but it's just a P-10C OR in FDE color with the latest P-10C sights. Guns for them will be produced in Europe while the American market P-10Cs are produced here in the states, but I could see that putting some stress on parts and mags for a while. The German army is in a rebuilding phase.
