I just clocked in a bit ago, and mine changed to the woody look all on its own. I like it though.
Tried to answer a private message, that's a no go. No "reply" button. Just "post". Maybe it posted in the recipient's box... but I still show no sent messages.
I'm too much of an analog dinosaur to want to mess with it much.
Bottom left of any page u can change the look. Pms are a pain in the ass. Click on the inbox but then you have to scroll way down to find the damn thing. Once you find it click on it then you are in a conversation with the sender. You are correct no reply button.
